Default Trap Severities

Default Trap Severities

The Web Element Manager application functions as an alarm server by default. Though severity levels are not part of the SNMP protocol for traps, the Web Element Manager application provides a mechanism for assigning severity levels to traps. The following severity levels can be assigned.
note_smallImportant: The “Clear” severity is the same as the “Informational” severity in the core platform MIB.
This chapter lists the default severity levels assigned to traps supported for the core platform and for the external applications like L/R ESS, Web Element Manager, IPMS application.
